Senior Partner Vincent M. DeOrchis recently received the Maritime Law Association of the United State’s award for distinguished service in connection with his involvement in assisting the U.S. State Department in respect to the Rotterdam Rules, which is a new Convention drafted by the United Nations. The Rotterdam Rules are expected to provide a new liability scheme for the international carriage of goods by sea when ratified.
