Senior Partner Vincent M. DeOrchis recently received the Maritime Law Association of the United State’s award for distinguished service in connection with his involvement in assisting the U.S. State Department in respect to the Rotterdam Rules, which is a new Convention drafted by the United Nations. The Rotterdam Rules are expected to provide a new liability scheme for the international carriage of goods by sea when ratified.

Jorgelina Foglietta recently attended a lecture on the Disaster Relief Network program in Haiti sponsored by CAFECITO, a membership of Latina attorneys who regularly meet to discuss issues affecting the legal community.
